Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Minority Leader in Ghana’s Parliament, has expressed his desire to leave a lasting legacy as a leader who stabilized the economy and created jobs for Ghanaians.
During his vetting by the Appointments Committee of Parliament on January 13, Dr. Forson expressed his ambition to be remembered as a minister who successfully reduced the prices of goods and services while stabilizing the economy.
He also sought divine assistance in achieving his goals, which include turning the economy around and creating jobs.
“I want to be remembered as the one who helped to reduce prices, stabilised the economy and created jobs. That is what I ask God to help me to achieve.”
“On jobs, I have said that my responsibility as a minister responsible for finance is to raise the required revenue and allocate it in consultation with cabinet to sectors that will create the jobs. So, we will do just that. These are my priorities as a minister and we will work to achieve that in the shortest possible time.
