John Dramani Mahama is set to headline the Ghana–UK Investment Summit 2026, a major two-day economic forum scheduled to take place from June 1 to June 2, 2026, at the historic Raffles Hotel in London.

According to a report by on May 5, 2026, the Ghana High Commission to the United Kingdom and Ireland announced the summit under the theme “Restoring Investor Confidence to Unlock Opportunities and Shared Prosperity.” The event aims to bring together government officials, global institutional investors, industry leaders, and development finance experts to deepen economic cooperation between Ghana and the UK.
President Mahama is expected to deliver the keynote address, presenting Ghana’s economic vision under his “Reset Agenda,” which emphasizes transparency, fiscal discipline, economic resilience, and stronger collaboration with international investors.
Participants at the summit will engage in bilateral meetings, sector-specific investment roundtables, and direct interactions with senior government officials, creating opportunities to forge strategic partnerships and unlock new investments.
Ghana is positioning itself as a prime investment destination in West Africa, citing its reputation as one of the region’s most stable democracies and fastest-growing emerging economies. With a youthful, English-speaking population and a robust legal framework, the country also serves as a gateway to the wider ECOWAS market of over 400 million people.
The presence of the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat in Accra further strengthens Ghana’s appeal, offering investors access to a continental market valued at approximately $3.4 trillion.
The summit will spotlight opportunities across six priority sectors: agribusiness; trade and infrastructure financing; real estate; fintech, digital assets, and innovation; energy and green transition; and critical minerals and carbon markets.
The event is being organised by the Ghana High Commission to the UK and Ireland in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, and the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC). Supporting partners include the British High Commission in Accra, the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce, and Invest Africa.
Ahead of the summit, President Mahama will also engage the Ghanaian diaspora during a Town Hall Meeting on May 31, 2026. The session, hosted by Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK and Ireland, Sabah Zita Benson, is expected to provide a platform for dialogue on national development priorities and the role of diaspora investment in Ghana’s transformation agenda.
