President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has extended warm congratulations to Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema and the people of Gabon following the inauguration of a new state-of-the-art Congress Centre.

In a message shared on his official Facebook page, Mr Mahama commended the Gabonese leadership for what he described as a significant milestone in the country’s democratic and infrastructural development. He noted that the establishment of the facility, situated within what has been termed “Democracy City,” reflects Gabon’s strong commitment to fostering dialogue, diplomacy, and unity across the African continent.
Mr Mahama further highlighted the symbolic importance of the project, particularly its role in honouring a former national leader, describing the gesture as both thoughtful and inspiring.
He emphasised that such initiatives serve as powerful reminders of the importance of preserving leadership legacies while investing in the future.
According to him, the new Congress Centre is expected to provide a conducive platform for high-level engagements, policy discussions, and international cooperation aimed at advancing the collective interests of African nations.
He concluded by wishing President Nguema and the people of Gabon continued progress and success as they strengthen democratic governance and regional collaboration.
