The Managing Director of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), Edmond Kombat, has held a productive engagement with the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Hon. Dr. John Abdulai Jinapor, as efforts continue to rebuild and reposition the national refinery.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the TOR management to brief the Sector Minister on progress being made at the refinery, key developments and challenges confronting the facility, as well as areas requiring strategic support to ensure its sustainable growth.
In a post on Facebook, Mr. Kombat described the engagement as productive and engaging, noting that the discussions focused on the ongoing work to position TOR for a stronger future.
He expressed appreciation to Dr. Jinapor for his leadership, support and commitment to Ghana’s energy security and the revitalisation of the national refinery.
The TOR Managing Director reaffirmed management’s commitment to the refinery’s recovery and repositioning, stressing that the work to strengthen the facility and contribute to Ghana’s energy security continues.
The engagement comes as the government and management of TOR pursue measures aimed at restoring the refinery’s strategic role in Ghana’s petroleum industry and strengthening its contribution to the country’s energy security.
