President John Dramani Mahama is set to present the 2025 State of the Nation Address (SONA) before Parliament on Tuesday, February 27, 2025.
This was confirmed during a parliamentary sitting, where Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga announced that the Presidency had communicated its readiness for the address, pending Parliament’s availability.
“The office of the President has also communicated that the State of the Nation Address, if Parliament is available, can be presented on the 27th of February,” Ayariga stated on the floor of Parliament.
The address will highlight the administration’s key policies, governance priorities, and the overall state of the country.
Additionally, the government’s 2025 Budget Statement and Economic Policy will be presented on Monday, March 11, 2025, outlining fiscal strategies and economic plans for the year ahead.
