The late Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, Mahama Naser Toure, will be laid to rest today at his residence in Nima, Accra, in line with Muslim burial rites.

This was confirmed by the Second Deputy Majority Whip, Richard Acheampong, who said the burial would take place shortly after the necessary religious arrangements are completed.
Mr. Toure, who died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after a brief illness, was serving his fourth term in Parliament. During his tenure, he held several strategic roles, including Vice Chairman of the Energy Committee, and was a member of the Roads and Transport Committee, the House Committee, and the Private Members’ Bills and Motions Committee.
Tributes have begun pouring in from colleagues and constituents, describing him as a dedicated public servant and advocate for development in Ayawaso East.
