As the race for the 2024 general election intensifies, former President and National Democratic Congress (NDC) flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama, is set to embark on a tour of eight constituencies within the Greater Accra Region on Sunday, September 15, and Monday, September 16, 2024.
The two-day campaign tour, under the #Mahama4Change2024 slogan, will begin with visits to four constituencies on Day One, including Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro, Weija Gbawe, Okaikoi Central, and Okaikoi North. On Day Two, Mahama is scheduled to campaign in the Shai Osudoku, Kpone Katamanso, Madina, and Dome Kwabenya constituencies.
Joyce Bawah Mogtari, spokesperson for the Mahama campaign, emphasized the importance of the tour, noting that Mahama’s visits aim to connect with party supporters, sympathizers, and the general public. The tour is also designed to drum up support for the NDC’s agenda ahead of the 2024 election, where Mahama is vying to return to the presidency.
The #Mahama4Change2024 campaign has gained significant momentum across the country, with the former president promising to restore economic stability and implement key reforms if elected. His engagements in the Greater Accra Region are expected to feature key interactions with local party executives and grassroots supporters, as well as discussions on pressing issues affecting the constituencies.
This tour comes at a critical time as Mahama seeks to solidify the NDC’s presence in the Greater Accra Region, a major electoral battleground. His campaign message focuses on job creation, youth empowerment, and resolving the current economic challenges facing the country.
Mahama’s supporters and the general public are encouraged to attend and participate in these campaign events as the flag bearer rallies for change in 2024.
