At the Head of State Award Scheme celebrations held at UPSA, the National Youth Authority received the 2025 National Youth Champion Award in recognition of its exceptional commitment to advancing youth development at both national and international levels.

The award was received on behalf of the Authority by Alhaji Inusah Mahama, Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Operations and Programs.
The Head of State Award Scheme—also known as the Duke of Edinburgh International Award—was established in 1967 to instill values of volunteering, patriotism, and discipline in young people, empowering them to make a positive impact in their communities. This year’s ceremony was held under the theme: “Equip, Empower, Excel: Building Brighter Futures Through Opportunities.”
At the same ceremony, the Head of State Award Scheme Ghana honoured 336 young people with Gold Awards for 2025.
