The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Music Awards USA and parliamentary hopeful for the Ho Central Constituency, Mr. Dennis Boafo, popularly known as Don D, has extended a generous hand of support to the Ho Leprosarium.
The donation, which took place earlier this week, included bags of rice, bottled water, toiletries, and a cash contribution aimed at helping the facility address its pressing water challenges.
In a brief address during the presentation, Mr. Boafo reaffirmed his commitment to supporting vulnerable groups in society, especially those within his home constituency. “This is only the beginning of my unflinching support for the center. I will continue to stand with you,” he assured the management and residents. He also encouraged the inmates to remain strong in their faith and not to lose hope.
Mr. Boafo hails from Tanyigbe in the Ho Central Constituency but is currently based in New Jersey, USA. He is a seasoned entrepreneur, social worker, and security analyst. In addition to running Don’s Music Production LLC, he also heads a non-profit event planning and charity organization committed to empowering communities both in Ghana and abroad.
His philanthropic gesture has been lauded by staff at the facility and community members, who described it as a timely intervention.
