In a historic milestone for Ghana’s energy sector, Madam Judith Adjobah Blay has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana National Gas Company.

Her appointment follows the resignation of Dr. Ben Asante, with Dr. Kofi Lartey previously serving as Acting CEO.

Madam Blay brings over 20 years of experience in Ghana’s energy sector, with a strong track record in strategic leadership, policy development, and sustainable business practices. She has held several high-profile roles, including Deputy Director of Contracts Administration at the Petroleum Commission Ghana and Project Coordinator for MCC Compact II at the Ministry of Energy/USAID.

Throughout her distinguished career, Madam Blay has successfully managed multi-million-dollar projects, strengthened regulatory compliance, and championed local content development. She has also played a key role in enhancing operational efficiency, stakeholder engagement, and corporate governance.

Her academic credentials are equally impressive. She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS-UK) and holds degrees from prestigious institutions, including George Mason University (USA) and the University of Ghana.

As the new CEO of Ghana National Gas Company, Madam Blay is expected to provide strategic leadership, drive operational efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance while positioning the company as a key player in Ghana’s energy transition.

Industry experts and stakeholders have welcomed her appointment with optimism, expressing confidence in her ability to drive innovation and sustainable growth within the company.
