Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, has officially conceded defeat in the 2024 general elections.
In a heartfelt address delivered from his residence shortly after preliminary results began to emerge, Dr. Bawumia acknowledged the success of his opponent and extended his gratitude to the people of Ghana for entrusting him with the privilege of serving as Vice President and later as a presidential candidate.
He further disclosed that he had personally reached out to former President John Mahama to congratulate him on his victory, emphasizing the importance of unity and respect for the democratic process.
