John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Flagbearer, has issued a strong warning against any efforts to compromise the integrity of the 2024 general elections, emphasizing the party’s unwavering resolve to safeguard the will of Ghanaians.
Addressing a crowd at the NDC’s final rally held at Zurak Park in Madina on Thursday, December 5, 2024, Mahama called on the Electoral Commission, security agencies, and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to uphold democratic principles. He stressed the importance of transparency and fairness in the electoral process.
“I caution the NPP administration, the security forces, and all those responsible for overseeing this election to desist from any sinister plans. The NDC will stand with the people at the polling stations, and together, we will courageously protect our votes and resist any attempts to steal them,” Mahama declared to loud applause.
Mahama’s remarks underscore the NDC’s readiness to defend the sanctity of the polls and its commitment to ensuring a free, fair, and credible election as Ghanaians prepare to cast their votes.
