Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has led tributes to the memory of Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna, one year after his passing, while calling for continued support for his bereaved family.
The Vice President joined family members, religious and traditional leaders, friends and well-wishers to honour the late Alhaji Muniru Limuna and remember his life, service and values.
During the gathering, the Vice President conveyed the warm greetings and continued sympathies of President John Dramani Mahama to the family.
In a message shared on Facebook, Vice President Opoku-Agyemang said the circumstances surrounding Alhaji Limuna’s death had left many people shocked and grieving, adding that his memory and contributions continue to be cherished.
“A year after the tragic circumstances that left us all in shock and grief, we continue to remember his life, service and the values he upheld,” she said.
She stressed that while the nation continues to remember the deceased, particular attention must be given to his family, who continue to bear the pain of the loss.
According to her, supporting the bereaved family should remain a collective responsibility, urging friends, relatives and well-wishers to continue standing with them and keeping them in their prayers.
“Our thoughts must remain with his family, who feel this loss more deeply than we do. It is our collective responsibility to stand with them, support them and keep them in our prayers,” the Vice President stated.
She also offered prayers for the family, asking for strength and comfort for them as they continue to cope with their loss.
The Vice President prayed that the Almighty would continue to strengthen the family of Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna and grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
