The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a four-day planned maintenance exercise that will result in temporary power outages in parts of the Accra East Region.

According to the ECG, the exercise will begin on Monday, August 10, and continue through Thursday, August 13, 2026, with power interruptions scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
The company said the maintenance exercise forms part of its efforts to improve the reliability and quality of electricity supply to customers.
On Monday, August 10, areas expected to be affected include Teiman, Oyarifa, Smith, parts of Ogbodjo, Tsmasiwaa Hospital, Ability and surrounding communities.
On Tuesday, August 11, the affected areas will include Ashiyie, parts of Dodowa, Tobinco, Oasis Estate, Manet Junction and surrounding areas.
For Wednesday, August 12, ECG has listed parts of Labone, Agbogba Zongo, Adenta SDA, Tot-to-Teen School, Top Herbal Clinic, parts of Madina, Libya Quarters and surrounding areas.
On Thursday, August 13, the planned outage will affect Achimota School and surrounding areas.
ECG has advised customers in the affected communities to take note of the schedule and make the necessary arrangements ahead of the planned interruptions.
The company has also expressed appreciation to customers for their understanding and cooperation as it undertakes the maintenance works aimed at improving electricity service delivery.
