The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that nominations for its national executive elections will open on Tuesday, October 20, as part of the party’s 2026 internal electoral process.
According to the election timetable released by the party, nominations will open at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, and close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21. Aspirants seeking to contest national executive positions will be required to complete their applications online through the party’s designated portal, forms.ghanandc.com.
The timetable forms part of the NDC’s broader roadmap for its constituency, regional and national executive elections, which was approved by the party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC).
Following the close of nominations, successful applicants will be given 14 days to complete and secure the required endorsements on their nomination forms.
The party has scheduled the filing of completed nomination forms from Saturday, November 7, to Monday, November 9. During this period, aspirants must submit their completed nomination forms online between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. In addition, hard copies of the forms must be submitted to the party’s national headquarters within the same period and during the stipulated working hours.
The vetting of aspirants for the various national executive positions is scheduled to take place from Thursday, November 12, to Friday, November 13, at the NDC’s national headquarters.
The NDC said the timetable is intended to provide a clear framework for the various stages of its internal electoral process and ensure transparency, fairness and efficiency throughout the exercise.
The party further urged all aspirants, executives and members to adhere strictly to the timelines, guidelines and procedures outlined in the election schedule to guarantee a smooth, peaceful and credible national executive election process.
