Former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, may soon be flown abroad for specialized medical treatment following a reported shooting incident that left her with gunshot wounds.

According to her Special Assistant, Dr. Emmanuel Y. Boakye, the former legislator has already undergone two surgical procedures and is currently receiving care at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra. Medical experts are closely monitoring her condition as discussions continue regarding the next phase of her treatment.
Dr. Boakye disclosed that arrangements are being considered to transfer her outside the country to access advanced medical care, particularly to prevent further complications related to injuries sustained to her face. However, he did not specify the destination for the potential medical transfer.
The incident reportedly occurred during a violent altercation at the residence of her younger brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo Akofena. Eyewitness accounts suggest that multiple gunshots were fired, with reports indicating that as many as 45 bullets were directed at her vehicle.
A video circulating on social media is said to show the moment the former MP was rushed into an ambulance and transported to the hospital for emergency treatment.
The development has sparked widespread concern among the public, with many calling for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack. Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the incident.
Meanwhile, supporters and well-wishers continue to express hope for her recovery as preparations for possible overseas treatment progress.
