NIA to start issuance of Ghana Card to children aged 6–14 from Monday, October 6
The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced that, from today, Monday, 6th October 2025, it will commence the issuance and collection of Ghana Cards for Ghanaians aged 6 to 14 years who have already registered.
A statement issued by the NIA said the issuance of the card will take place at the designated registration points, specifically the schools where the children were originally registered, beginning with 56 districts nationwide, with the remaining districts scheduled to follow in the coming days.
To complete the process, each child/applicant must be physically present.
Parents and legal guardians are required to accompany their children and present the Form A or receipt issued on the day of registration.
“With all backlogs of unprinted Ghana Cards now cleared, the NIA assures the public of its readiness to deliver a smooth and efficient exercise.
Further details regarding the resumption of new registrations for Ghanaians aged 6 to 14 years at the Districts will be communicated to the public in due course,” the statement said.
