The narrative around Bogoso continues to unfold.

A letter from LOCOMS, the mining contractor operating on-site, expresses full confidence in Heath Goldfields, acknowledges ongoing progress, and calls for stakeholder support to ensure stability and continued development.
Importantly, LOCOMS represents local companies and contractors within the Bogoso–Prestea enclave, many of which are owned or backed by the same traditional authorities and community leaders in the area.
This makes the situation even more contradictory.

On one hand, entities tied to local leadership and directly involved in operations are voicing support for Heath and confirming progress on the ground. On the other hand, separate narratives suggest failure and call for revocation.
These positions are clearly at odds.

It is also worth noting that Heath only received its full operating permit on December 24, 2025. The mine is therefore still in the early stages of redevelopment and stabilization after a prolonged period of inactivity.
Despite this, investment momentum is already visible, with approximately $135 million committed and being deployed within the first year of operations alone.
As an on-the-ground stakeholder, LOCOMS reflects the actual state of progress. The emergence of conflicting narratives, despite this reality, raises serious questions about credibility and intent.
Bogoso deserves facts, not manufactured narratives.
