DISREGARD ANY PARTY STATEMENTS SIGNED BY UNAUTHORIZED ANTHONY ABAYIFA KARBO

The New Patriotic Party has taken note of the issuance of series of press statements by unauthorized persons in the party regarding a recent challenged with some selected media programs.

Prior to June 13, 2015, the National Executive Committee of the party in pursuant to Article 11 of the NPP constitution had agree inter alia that, ‘party officers desiring to contest the upcoming Parliamentary Primaries must tender their resignation before they become eligible to contest the primaries”
Following this directive, it was expected that all members holding positions in the party must tender their resignation of that respective position before a given time. Let it be stated categorically that, Mr Anthony Abayifa Karbo is NOT a deputy director ofcommunications but a parliamentary candidate for the Lawra Constituency

Hence, the New Patriotic Party is surprise to realize that former deputy communications director of the party and now parliamentary candidate for Lawra Constituency , Mr Anthony Abayifa Karbo, continues to illegally issue statement on behalf of the party. This he has done not once or twice and at times, manages to put such illegitimate concerns on the party’s letterhead

The New Patriotic Party wishes to inform it’s members and the General Public to disregard any Press statement purporting to state the party’s position on certain developments signed by parliamentary candidate for the Lawra Constituency, Mr Anthony Abayifa Karbo. Such statements are unauthorized, illegitimate and does not represent the views of the party.

The National Executive Committee of the party is expected to meet and discuss these acts of insubordination and where plausible , propose appropriate sanctions on Mr Anthony Abayifa Karbo
