Mahama Ayariga, 7 others approved for ECOWAS Parliament

Member of Parliament (MP) for Bodi Constituency in the Western Region, Sampson Ahi was on Wednesday chosen alongside seven other MPs to represent Ghana at ECOWAS Parliament.

Honourable Ahi has become popular on social media since the Appointments Committee of Parliament started vetting ministers-designate nominated by President Nana Akufo-Addo.

His questions to nominees have often been deemed funny but it looks like having served three terms already, from his long stay in the House comes in handy.

Mr Ahi who first came to Parliament in 2005 as MP for Juabeso retained his seat and came back in 2009.

His current constituency was carved out of the previous one and he won convincingly to return in 2013 and having retained the seat, he happens to be one of the most experienced MPs in the current Parliament.

Below is the list of MPs headed for the ECOWAS Parliament:

1. Hon. Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh
2. Hon. O.B Amoah
3. Hon. Ama Pomaah Boateng
4. Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin
5. Hon. Kwabena Appiah-Pinkrah
6. Hon. Clement Kofi Humado
7. Hon. Mahama Ayarigah
