The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has directed the acting director general of the National Communications Authority to carry out an audit submit a list of all frequency authorisations issued or renewed in the past 60 days.
A media advisory from the Ministry of Communications said the move aligns with the government’s Operation Recover All Loot agenda, aimed at reclaiming state resources improperly transferred to private entities.
The minister stressed the importance of ensuring that all allocations adhere to legal and procedural standards.
The audit marks the first phase of a broader effort to ensure transparency and accountability in use of state resources for broadcasting in Ghana.
The ministry will inform the public of any further actions following a review of the information gathered.
