President John Dramani Mahama has held talks with Vice President of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Han Zheng, on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The meeting provided an opportunity for Ghana and China to strengthen their longstanding bilateral relations and explore areas of mutual interest.
Discussions focused on deepening cooperation between the two countries and advancing shared priorities, as both sides seek to further strengthen Ghana-China relations.
The engagement forms part of President Mahama’s diplomatic activities on the margins of the 81st United Nations General Assembly, where world leaders are meeting to discuss global and international development issues.
Ghana and China have maintained diplomatic relations for decades, with cooperation spanning areas including trade, infrastructure, development, education and other sectors of mutual interest.
