Ghanaian broadcaster and musician Blakk Rasta has alleged that some prominent individuals are financially supporting social media platform Ghana Jollof to attack President John Dramani Mahama.
Speaking on his programme, “The Black Pot,” Blakk Rasta claimed that he had uncovered the identities of some of the individuals allegedly sending money to the platform to mount attacks against the President.
Among the names he mentioned was Hon. Sulemana Tampuli Alhassan Gushegu, a Member of Parliament.
In a separate conversation, Blakk Rasta also mentioned lawyer Maurice Ampaw as another person he claimed was connected to the alleged support for Ghana Jollof.
Blakk Rasta did not, in the remarks referenced, provide publicly verified evidence establishing that Maurice Ampaw, Gushegu or the other individuals named had made payments to Ghana Jollof or financially supported the platform for the alleged purpose.
The allegations therefore remain claims attributed to Blakk Rasta and would require independent verification, including responses from the individuals named and any documentary or other credible evidence establishing the alleged financial arrangements.
The claims have sparked discussion about political financing, social media influence and the growing role of online platforms in Ghana’s political discourse.
Maurice Ampaw and the other individuals mentioned have the opportunity to respond to the allegations and clarify whether they have any financial, organisational or other relationship with Ghana Jollof.
