The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed that Ghana is preparing to reopen its Mission in Ireland as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s diplomatic engagement with the European nation.
The Ministry disclosed this in a Facebook post following a meeting between Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, James Gyakye Quayson, and the Dean of the African Diplomatic Corps in Dublin and Morocco’s Ambassador to Ireland, Dr Lahcen Mahraoui.
The meeting formed part of Mr Quayson’s official working visit to Ireland ahead of the reopening of Ghana’s Mission in the country.
The two officials exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and discussed ways to strengthen diplomatic relations and deepen cooperation among members of the diplomatic community in Ireland.
The Ministry said the engagement underscores Ghana’s commitment to constructive dialogue, collaboration and stronger diplomatic partnerships in advancing shared interests.
