President John Dramani Mahama is set to embark on a nationwide tour beginning March 18 to inspect ongoing government projects and assess their progress across the country.

The initiative, dubbed the “Resetting Ghana Tour,” is aimed at strengthening the connection between government and citizens while providing first-hand updates on national policies and development efforts. The tour is also expected to deepen engagement with grassroots communities and offer a platform for direct interaction with local stakeholders.
The exercise will officially commence in the Bono Region, where the President will be joined by regional ministers, local government officials, and other key stakeholders.
Speaking during a visit to the Office of Government Communications led by Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the Minister of Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, emphasized the importance of the tour in ensuring accountability and transparency.
According to him, the President is taking a proactive approach to governance by personally visiting project sites rather than relying solely on briefings at the presidency.
“The President believes it is not enough for ministers to brief the nation from the presidency. He is stepping out to lead the ‘Resetting the Ghana Project,’ starting from the Bono Region tomorrow, all things being equal,” he said.
He added that the nationwide exercise will involve several ministers, regional officials, district chief executives, and local leaders who will accompany the President to inspect projects and engage with opinion leaders, chiefs, and influential members of various communities.
The tour is expected to span multiple regions, providing a comprehensive assessment of development initiatives and reinforcing the government’s commitment to inclusive governance and national progress.
