President John Dramani Mahama has expressed appreciation to the outgoing Ambassadors of Angola, Malta, and France for their efforts in deepening bilateral relations and fostering economic cooperation with Ghana.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Mahama disclosed that he hosted Ambassador João Domingos Baptista Quiosa of Angola, Ambassador Jean Claude Galea Mallia of Malta, and France’s Ambassador Jules Armand Aniambossou to bid them farewell.
Mr. Mahama noted that with Ambassador Quiosa, discussions centered on enhancing collaboration in the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors, as well as promoting cocoa cultivation and educational exchanges between Ghana and Angola.
On Malta’s relations with Ghana, he acknowledged Ambassador Galea Mallia’s more than seven years of dedicated service, during which he established deep personal and professional ties. Both sides agreed to build on the growing trade momentum under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Turning to Ghana–France relations, Mahama highlighted the increasing presence of French businesses in Ghana, with 60 companies now operating in the country. He also welcomed France’s financial commitments, including €2 million to support entrepreneurs in the creative industry and over €90 million invested in Feed Ghana projects across the northern belt.
The president praised the ambassadors for their role in advancing partnerships that contribute to Ghana’s economic growth and international cooperation.
