Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has been re-elected as the Bono East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Abronye secured 201 votes to defeat four other contenders in the regional executive elections held on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
His victory gives him another mandate to lead the party’s regional structures, coordinate its activities and work with constituency executives to strengthen the NPP’s grassroots base ahead of the 2028 general elections.
As Regional Chairman, Abronye will be responsible for coordinating constituency activities, mobilising party supporters and helping implement decisions of the national leadership.
His re-election follows months of political activity and public engagements as the NPP undertakes its internal reorganisation across the country.
In other results, Kofi Ofosu Boateng won the Regional Secretary position with 187 votes.
Abdul Razak Oppong also emerged victorious in the Regional Organiser contest after polling 229 votes.
The newly elected executives are expected to take charge of the NPP’s affairs in the Bono East Region as the party works to rebuild its structures and strengthen its grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2028 elections.
