Founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha, has claimed he received a divine revelation that Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, could die in prison if he remains incarcerated into next year.
Speaking on Aluta FM with Fiifi Pratt on July 21, 2026, the outspoken preacher urged Wontumi’s family and loved ones to intensify prayers for him following the dream.
“I urge his family and loved ones to pray for him. What I saw concerning Chairman Wontumi was revealed to me in my dream last night,” he said.
According to Kumchacha, the revelation showed Wontumi falling critically ill while in custody.
“If we do not pray to God to intervene, Chairman Wontumi will die next year if he’s still in prison. If God does not intervene and get him out of that prison, by December or January, he will die.”
The prophet claimed he saw Wontumi lying on the floor of the prison looking seriously ill before he was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
“I believe in my dreams. None have ever failed. I saw that he was lying on the prison floor. He seemed to be sick. He was then rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead,” he added.
Kumchacha’s comments come after Chairman Wontumi was sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment after an Accra High Court found him guilty on all six counts in the illegal mining case involving Akonta Mining Company Limited.
The court also fined him GH¢120,000, while Akonta Mining was fined GH¢180,000.
Meanwhile, the NPP has claimed that his incarceration is politically motivated.
