Ghanaian actress Benedicta Gafah has broken her silence, strongly pushing back against recent claims made by controversial preacher Bishop Daniel Obinim amid ongoing discussions surrounding his marriage.
The latest development follows remarks by Obinim, who alleged that he had blocked the actress after reports surfaced of a social media feud between Gafah and his wife, Florence Obinim. According to the preacher, he took that decision due to dissatisfaction with the controversy and online exchanges linked to the situation.
However, reacting in a post shared on Instagram on June 15, 2026, Gafah dismissed the claims as false, insisting that she was rather the one who cut off communication with Obinim.
“Standing on a platform and confidently claiming that you blocked me, when the reality is that I blocked you because you kept trying to contact me and I chose not to engage, is simply dishonest,” she stated.
The actress further questioned the necessity of Obinim mentioning her name publicly, suggesting that she has consistently avoided unnecessary drama despite being repeatedly dragged into controversies.
“At this point, it feels like I’m being pushed to release certain audios and conversations into the public domain just so people can understand the truth,” she added, hinting at possible evidence to support her claims.
Gafah also expressed frustration over what she described as years of being linked to issues and individuals she has no connection with, calling for an end to the recurring narrative.
“Why is my name constantly being attached to people I’m not even close to? It has been almost a decade of the same recycled narrative,” she said.
She emphasized that she is currently in a serious relationship and has already introduced her partner to her family, making the ongoing allegations even more frustrating.
“It is not only annoying, but it is also disrespectful, unfair, and quite frankly, disgusting. People continue to spread and entertain false narratives without taking a moment to think for themselves,” Gafah stressed.
The actress concluded by cautioning Obinim and others to desist from involving her in issues that do not concern her, as she seeks to maintain her peace and privacy.
