President John Dramani Mahama has been presented with a specially designed golf set as preparations gather pace for the 2026 Head of State Golf Invitational Tournament.

The presentation was made during a courtesy visit by the tournament’s organising team, who called on the President to formally brief him on progress ahead of the highly anticipated event scheduled for November 28, 2026. The delegation was led by Francis Andoh and included key planning committee members Nana Antwi Darkwah, Michael Aggrey, and Maud Akosiwa Agbolete.
During the meeting, the organisers reaffirmed their commitment to delivering a successful tournament that goes beyond sport to promote tourism, diplomacy, and business engagement. They highlighted the event’s growing reputation as a platform that brings together corporate leaders, diplomats, and golf enthusiasts from across the globe.
President Mahama welcomed the initiative and applauded the organisers for sustaining the tournament and strengthening Ghana’s visibility on the international golfing stage. He noted that golf, like many sports, plays an important role in fostering relationships and encouraging collaboration among diverse groups.
The customised golf set, created specifically for the President, was described as a symbol of the strong partnership between the Presidency and the tournament organisers.
This year’s edition of the Head of State Golf Invitational Tournament is expected to attract a wide range of participants, including international golfers, business executives, and dignitaries. Organisers have assured stakeholders of a memorable and impactful event as final preparations continue.
