The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced the constitution of its Standing and Sector Committees following a decision by its National Executive Committee and National Council.

The decision was taken at a meeting held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, in line with relevant provisions of the party’s constitution.
A statement signed by Justin Kodua Frimpong, General Secretary, NPP, and issued from the party’s headquarters in Accra-North on May 8, 2026, said the Standing Committees were established under Article 10(2)(6), while the Sector Committees were formed in accordance with Articles 10(3)(8) and 14(5) of the party constitution.
According to the party, seven Standing Committees and 23 Sector Committees have been constituted as part of efforts to improve internal coordination, strengthen governance structures, and enhance operational efficiency.
The party explained that the restructuring is intended to support its organisational activities and ensure effective management of its internal affairs.
One of the key committees announced is the Finance Committee, which will oversee the party’s financial management and resource mobilisation efforts.
The Finance Committee is chaired by Fred Oware, with Dr. Charles Dwamena serving as Secretary. Other members include Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, Nana Adwoa Dokua, William Oppong-Bio, Irene Naa Torshie Addo, Abena Osei Asare, Ambassador Edward Boateng, Joseph Ampomah Bosompem, Adelaide Ahwireng, and Alhassan Yakubu Tali.
