President John Dramani Mahama has officially cut the sod for the construction of the Bright International Amusement Park — a major recreational and economic development project powered by the Bui Power Authority.
The groundbreaking ceremony marks the beginning of an ambitious initiative designed to boost local tourism, create employment opportunities, and stimulate economic growth in the surrounding communities.
Speaking at the event, President Mahama highlighted the government’s continued commitment to promoting large-scale projects that not only enhance national infrastructure but also empower local citizens. He emphasized that the amusement park will serve as a hub for family entertainment and a symbol of Ghana’s growing creative and tourism industry.
Powered by the Bui Power Authority, the Bright International Amusement Park will integrate renewable energy solutions into its operations, underscoring the government’s dedication to sustainable development.
In addition to providing recreation and entertainment, the park is expected to create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs, with a special focus on women’s empowerment through inclusive employment opportunities.
The project forms part of President Mahama’s broader vision under the Reset Agenda, which seeks to rebuild Ghana’s economy through innovation, infrastructure development, and equitable participation across all sectors.
Construction of the Bright International Amusement Park is expected to commence immediately, with completion anticipated to transform the area into one of Ghana’s top tourist destinations.
