The National Mosque in Accra was filled with vibrant scenes today as the National Youth Authority (NYA) commenced the highly anticipated 2025 National Youth Festival with an engaging dialogue session with Islamic leaders.
The gathering marked the official start of the month-long celebration themed “Igniting Potential, Inspiring Change,” which aims to amplify the voices of young Ghanaians while fostering national unity, development, and empowerment through various inclusive platforms.
The dialogue with Islamic leaders served as a bridge between faith and youth development, reflecting NYA’s commitment to engaging all sectors of society in nurturing the country’s future leaders.
Speaking earlier at the festival launch on July 28, CEO of the National Youth Authority, Osman Ayariga Esq., described the festival as a strategic investment in Ghana’s future. “When we ignite the potential of our youth, we inspire change that ripples through communities, transforms lives, and propels our nation toward greater prosperity,” he said.
He called on stakeholders, including religious institutions, to serve as mentors, provide opportunities, and support the development of the youth.

The festival runs from August 1 to August 30 and is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment.
