President John Dramani Mahama has issued a rallying cry to Ghanaians, urging them to unite behind the government’s reset agenda to revitalize the economy and propel it toward sustainable growth.
Speaking at the launch of the National Economic Dialogue on Monday, March 3, 2025, President Mahama underscored the importance of collective action in addressing the nation’s economic challenges.
The National Economic Dialogue, according to President Mahama, is not merely a platform for discussing economic woes, but rather a catalyst for finding practical solutions and charting a progressive course for Ghana’s financial future.
He emphasized that the reset agenda is not just a government policy, but a national call to action aimed at rebuilding the economy to benefit all Ghanaians.
“We are not here to recount our struggles nor are we here to resign ourselves to economic stagnation. We are here to seek solutions that will put us on a path of growth trajectory and to ensure that we build an economy that works for every Ghanaian,” President Mahama stated, highlighting the urgency of the moment.
He further stressed the need for all stakeholders to unite in addressing the nation’s economic difficulties, describing the National Economic Dialogue as “an urgent call to action” and “a crucial moment for us, as stakeholders, to purpose and resolve the challenges that face us.”
The National Economic Dialogue is expected to bring together key stakeholders, including government officials, economists, and business leaders, to propose measures for resetting Ghana’s economy and fostering long-term prosperity.
