The National Intelligence Bureau(NIB) have launched a manhunt for the Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Authority(NSA) in the person of Gifty Oware-Mensah.
The former deputy director has been out of the country for weeks now with unknown whereabouts.
She is being sought after to answer questions concerning ghost names on the payroll of the National Service leading to financial loss to the state.
In the latest development on this scandal, the former deputy director of Operations at the NSA Kweku Ohene Gyan was last Saturday evening picked up by NIB operatives.
His arrest begins a series of arrests involving the people who have allegedly inserted the ghost names into the system and have been enjoying the money since.
Ghost names were allegedly added to the NSA payroll as part of the scandal, which cost the state a lot of money.
Gifty Oware-Mensah has fled into hiding, despite authorities’ best efforts to track her down and apprehend her for interrogation.
Security agencies are increasing their efforts to track down all those engaged in the NSA payroll scam because Gifty Oware-Mensah is still at loose.
