Actor and politician John Kofi Setor Dumelo has been nominated as the Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture in the latest list of appointments submitted by President John Dramani Mahama to Parliament for approval. The nominations, made in accordance with Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of the 1992 Constitution, seek to strengthen governance by appointing deputies to assist sector ministers in implementing government policies.
Dumelo, a known advocate for agribusiness and youth involvement in farming, is expected to support policies aimed at improving Ghana’s agricultural sector. His nomination underscores the government’s commitment to modernizing agriculture and promoting food security.
