Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama has expressed gratitude to President Azali Assoumani of Comoros and President Faure Gnassingbé of Togo for their significant contributions during the presidential session of the Africa Prosperity Dialogues 2025 held in Accra.
In a Facebook post, Mahama highlighted the importance of strong leadership and commitment in realizing Africa’s shared vision of economic transformation. He emphasized that achieving an industrialized and inclusive Africa requires collaboration with the private sector and substantial effort.
“I left the Dialogue convinced that we can achieve the vision of an industrialised and inclusive Africa in collaboration with the private sector. However, this requires hard work,” he wrote.
Mahama underscored key priorities such as effective governance, infrastructure development, and industrialisation, which he believes are essential to unlocking Africa’s economic potential. He also stressed the critical role of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in driving trade liberalization, boosting infrastructure investment, and strengthening intra-African supply chains.
“The immense potential of the AfCFTA must be harnessed to ensure our countries fully benefit from the Agreement,” he added.
The Africa Prosperity Dialogues 2025 brings together leaders from across the continent to discuss strategies for sustainable economic growth and regional integration. Mahama’s remarks reaffirm his commitment to Africa’s economic transformation and the empowerment of future generations.
