The Office of the President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, has issued a statement refuting the authenticity of various lists circulating on social media and other platforms, purportedly naming individuals as nominees for ministerial positions in the incoming administration.
According to the statement, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Special Aide to the President-elect, these lists do not originate from the Office of the President-elect and should therefore be disregarded by the public.
“The said lists do not emanate from the office of the President-elect, and the public is encouraged to disregard same,” the statement emphasized.
The Office assured Ghanaians that all official announcements regarding ministerial appointments will be communicated through appropriate channels at the proper time.
The clarification comes amidst heightened speculation about key appointments following Mr. Mahama’s victory in the recent presidential elections. As the nation awaits the unveiling of his cabinet, the Office reiterated its commitment to transparency and order in the dissemination of such critical information.
Ghanaians are advised to rely solely on official communication from the President-elect’s office to avoid misinformation.
