Vice President and 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has explained why he chose to concede defeat in the presidential election even before the Electoral Commission (EC) officially announced the results.
Speaking to clergymen at his residence in Accra, Dr. Bawumia revealed that his decision was motivated by a desire to maintain peace and stability in Ghana.
He emphasized that the opposition’s narrative accusing the ruling party of attempting to rig the election made it crucial to act swiftly once his campaign’s data confirmed the NPP’s loss.
