The Ghana police service in Kintampo South have arrested an electoral officer for tearing Dr Mahamudi Bawumia from 15 ballot papers.
Dery while issuing the ballot papers tore the photo of the NPP candidate and his party symbol and gave it to electorates to cast their ballot.
A clear indication that he intentionally engaged in the act to deny Dr Mahamudu Bawumi votes.
The incident is said to have taken place at the Ampesika Bayere polling station.
The suspect whose name is given as Dery Joseph is currently in the custody of the police assisting in investigation.
Reports say the voting process at the said polling station has been suspended with the EC finding resolution to the challenges created by the EC official.
