Special Voting Continues Today After Earlier Hitches

The second round of the special voting is currently underway in all designated polling stations across the country.

The special voting which was coupled with challenges last Thursday continues today Sunday December 4, across the country.

The Electoral Commission of Ghana, announced the extension of the exercise following an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting held moments after the special poll on Thursday December 1.

Hundreds of early voters, mostly security personnel, in the various regions, queued at polling stations across the country on Thursday, but could not cast their ballots during the exercise.

The commission decided that persons who could not cast their ballots on that day could now do so at the original constituencies they registered to vote.

The special voting is to afford key stakeholders in the General Elections the opportunity to cast their votes ahead of the main polls on 7 December.
