NPP Concocted Election Results Exposed

Gives Akufo-Addo 51.85 percent; John Mahama 41.52 percent

It is about five months to Ghana’s 7th presidential and parliamentary elections since the introduction of democratic governance, and although the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), is struggling to release it manifesto for the campaign, it is jumping about with a concocted “Opinion Poll” it claims the First Lady, sanctioned.

According to the NPP engineered opinion poll, the president, John Dramani Mahama, trails NPP’s Nana Akufo-Addo, with 41.52 percent with the three timer, securing 51.85 percent. GhanaPoliticsOnline.Com

The “Strictly Confidential Report” leaked by NPP insiders, was said to have been conducted by pollster, Ben Ephson of the Daily Dispatch Newspaper, alongside the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).

The presidential candidates were placed as follows, Ivor Greenstreet of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) 2.10 percent, People’s National Convention’s (PNC) Dr. Edward Mahama, gathering only 1.98 percent.

The rest of the possible presidential candidates, including the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr. Paapa Kwesi Nduom, National Democratic Party’s (NDP) Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, and Hassan Ayariga’s All People’s Congress (APC), managed a scanty total of 2.25 percent.

Mrs. Lordina Mahama, and the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), were mentioned in the document available to The Herald, as those who ordered for the conduct of the opinion poll.GhanaPoliticsonline.com

The poll was said to have been released on March 3, 2016, and it covers all the ten regions of Ghana.

The regional break down indicates that, in the Ashanti Region, the stronghold of the NPP, Nana Addo, got 76.1 percent, while the president, had a paltry 18.95 percent.

Undecided voters in the Ashanti Region, were pegged at 1.0 percent, indicating the two biggest parties, may not achieve it projected 80 percent and one million votes, respectively.

In the Eastern Region, the home of the NPP’s flagbearer, he pulled 57.1 percent, while President Mahama, managed some 39.8 percent, undecided voters 1.1 percent, denying the governing party’s ambitious 50/50 agenda.

In the Central Region, where in less than a month, the president has revamped two factories; Komenda Sugar Factory, and the Ayensu Starch Factory, and also the building of the Cape Coast Sport Stadium, Nana Addo, got a whopping 50.25 percent, while the incumbent, Mr. Mahama, made 42.0 percent with 3.0 percent undecided on who they were voting for.

In the Western Region, Nana Addo, had 44.5 percent with President Mahama, securing 41.0 percent, and a huge 12.5 percent, were undecided.

In the Volta Region, the stronghold of the governing NDC, where the NPP claims to be gaining grounds; Mr. Mahama, amassed 62.09 percent, while Nana Addo, had 14.1 percent, with 21.9 percent, yet to decide on their choice of president.

Just like the Western Region, the Brong Ahafo Region, failed to give any of the two parties, a 50 percent win. While, Nana Addo, acquired 47.0 percent, Mr. Mahama, had 44.7 percent, putting the undecided voters at 5.0 percent.

In the Northern Region, the home region of the president, he had 55.9 percent, while Nana Addo, had 40.1 percent, and 2.0 percent, were undecided.

The Upper East Region, gave the president, 57.7 percent, while Nana Addo, trailed with 32.4 percent. 5.1 percent constituted the undecided voters.

In the Upper West Region, the document said, Mr. Mahama, carried the region with 60.3 percent, while Nana Addo, garnered 32.7 percent, 3.5 percent, had not decided on who they want to vote for.

Lastly, in the Greater Accra Region, Nana Addo, led with 52.1 percent, while Mr. Mahama, secured 44.0 percent and 1.0 percent, were said to be undecided.

According to the document, these results were obtained based on some determinates influencing the voting pattern.

The document claimed that, the NDC, has lost in areas such as corruption perception, lack of favour with the international community, security services, including the military, the police and labour.
