The Ghana School of Law (GSL) has rescheduled two examinations originally slated for Monday, June 29, 2026, following heavy rains and widespread flooding that disrupted movement across parts of Accra.

In a notice signed by the Registrar of the Ghana School of Law, Mrs. Juliet Mavis Adu-Adjei, management announced that the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Ghana Legal System examinations have been postponed on the instructions of the Chair of the Independent Examinations Committee (IEC).
The two examinations will now be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., with the examination venues remaining unchanged.
According to the school, the decision was taken to safeguard the well-being of students and other stakeholders affected by the adverse weather conditions.
“Management regrets any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the understanding, patience and cooperation of all students,” the notice stated.
Earlier in the day, the Ghana School of Law had delayed the commencement of the examinations after monitoring the weather conditions for two hours and consulting with the Chair of the IEC.
In a message to students, management stressed that no examination would begin until it was safe for candidates to travel to the examination centre.
“Your safety is our highest priority. No student should risk their life or personal safety by attempting to travel through heavy rain or floodwaters to the Examination Centre,” the statement said.
The school further assured students that they would not suffer any academic disadvantage because of the disruption.
“No student will be disadvantaged. Students will not be penalized or disadvantaged in any way with respect to today’s examinations due to this Act of God,” management said.
It added that should examinations proceed later in the day, adequate time would be provided after the rains and floodwaters had subsided to enable students to travel safely.
Students were also advised to monitor their official emails, telephone messages, WhatsApp, the school’s official website and social media platforms for updates regarding the revised examination timetable.
The decision comes after heavy overnight rainfall triggered flooding in several parts of Accra, causing major traffic disruptions and prompting public safety advisories from authorities urging residents to avoid unnecessary travel and remain indoors where possible.
