First Phase: 250 Youth Enrolled
On January 2, 2026, more than 250 young people from the Dzodze and Penyi Zones were enrolled into direct apprenticeship programmes across various trades. The first phase marked the beginning of what the MP describes as a long-term investment in practical skills development.
Second Phase Set for February 22
The second phase of the programme is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Dekpor D/A Primary School Park. This phase will enroll over 200 young people from the Afife and Weta Zones into structured apprenticeship programmes.
Mr. Agbana confirmed that:
- All apprenticeship fees will be fully covered.
- Training tools and equipment will be provided to beneficiaries.
He described the initiative as “practical empowerment,” aimed at equipping young people with employable skills and sustainable sources of livelihood.
Special Guest of Honour
The event will be graced by the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, Osman Abdulai Ayariga, who will serve as the Special Guest of Honour.
The Skills and Apprenticeship Programme forms part of the MP’s broader development vision, tagged #BuiltToLast and #TheKetuNorthProject, which seeks to promote long-term growth and youth empowerment in Ketu North.
