The Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business in Parliament, Mahama Ayariga, has paid a courtesy call on the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, as part of efforts to promote national unity, peace, and development.

In a Facebook post, Mr. Ayariga said the visit was to convey his warm regards to the revered Islamic leader and to seek his prayers and wise counsel on matters of national importance. According to him, their engagement centered on strengthening harmony among Ghanaians, fostering tolerance, and working collectively to build a more inclusive and prosperous nation.
Mr. Ayariga praised the National Chief Imam for his longstanding commitment to peace, interfaith cooperation, and social cohesion, describing his leadership as a vital pillar for Ghana’s stability. He noted that Sheikh Dr. Sharubutu’s guidance continues to inspire efforts toward peaceful coexistence across religious and ethnic lines.
