A prophecy delivered weeks ago by Prophet Bernard Adzraku of ECG The Jesus Nation Church in Ho has been fulfilled, following credible reports that President John Dramani Mahama has approved a two-year contract extension for Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno.
Citi News sources confirm that President Mahama has endorsed the Police Council’s recommendation to extend the IGP’s tenure, allowing him to remain in office beyond his originally scheduled retirement on December 27, 2025. The move, aimed at ensuring continuity in national security operations and sustaining reforms initiated under his leadership, aligns directly with the prophecy delivered earlier by Prophet Adzraku.
THE PROPHECY
During a prayer retreat on a mountain earlier this year, Prophet Adzraku announced that he had received a spiritual revelation indicating that IGP Yohuno would not retire as expected. Despite public debate surrounding the police chief’s imminent retirement at age 60, the prophet boldly declared that President Mahama would grant him an extension.
“I saw in the spirit that President Mahama had approved a contract extension for the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno,” he proclaimed during the retreat, where he and his congregation interceded for the nation and its security services.
According to the prophet, the revelation showed that the IGP’s continued leadership was essential for the nation’s stability.
“President Mahama’s security system needs to be on a high level, and because of that, there’s a personality God has blessed in His heart—and that is Christian Tetteh Yohuno. We must pray for the extension of his days,” Prophet Adzraku said.
He added that as the church began to pray, he spiritually “saw” that the extension had already been granted.
“The Lord said it is not political. God has showed him mercy because of the love he has for the president, even though there are many oppositions.”
Some congregants questioned the prophecy, reminding him that the IGP was nearing the mandatory retirement age. But the prophet insisted the vision was clear: “The Lord said it shall come to pass, for new things will happen.”
