The Government of Ghana has announced an upward adjustment in the producer price of cocoa for the 2025/2026 season, raising it from US$3,228.75 to US$3,625 per 64kg bag. This translates into GH¢58,000 per tonne.
The decision was approved by the Producer Price Review Committee (PPRC), chaired by the Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.
Announcing the review at a press briefing, Dr. Forson explained that the adjustment was necessary to keep Ghana’s farm-gate price competitive following the Ivory Coast’s decision to raise its producer price on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
