MultiChoice Ghana has issued a clarification regarding its DStv value offerings, following concerns raised after a joint press conference held with the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, the National Communications Authority (NCA), and MultiChoice Africa.
In a statement released on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, the company acknowledged that certain Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) earlier published on its website may have created the impression of contradictions in the new value package, which took effect today.
The pay-TV operator emphasized that it fully supports the joint media statement issued by the sector Minister, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, and confirmed that implementation of the new directive has already commenced.
According to the statement, the committee overseeing the initiative will reconvene in three months to evaluate its impact, stressing that this review will be conducted periodically to ensure the policy benefits subscribers.
MultiChoice Ghana further clarified that there are no restrictions on subscribers’ choice of bouquet. The value offering is available to all customers—whether existing, returning, or new—beginning October 1, 2025.
“We apologize for any inconvenience the FAQs may have caused,” the statement concluded.
