The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that a four-member delegation will represent Ghana at the 2025 Labour Conference in the United Kingdom.
The delegation will be led by the party’s General Secretary, Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, and includes:
Hon. Barbara Serwaah Asamoah, Deputy General Secretary
Mr. Godwin Ako Gunn, National Deputy Communications Officer
Dr. Karl Arhin, Deputy Director of International Relations
The team departs Accra on Friday, September 26, 2025, and is expected back on Friday, October 3, 2025.
In a statement signed by the NDC’s Director of Communications, Kakra Essamuah, the party noted that the visit underscores its commitment to strengthening international partnerships and deepening solidarity with progressive parties around the world.
“In the absence of the General Secretary, the Deputy General Secretary (Operations), Mr. Mustapha Gbande, will oversee the day-to-day administration of the party,” the statement confirmed.
The Labour Conference, hosted annually in the United Kingdom, serves as a key platform for progressive parties globally to exchange ideas on social justice, equality, and inclusive development—values the NDC says remain central to its governance agenda.
