President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to promoting environmental cleanliness with a major donation to the BuzStopBoys during the relaunch of the National Sanitation Day on Saturday.
Mr. Mahama announced on Facebook that he presented 200 wheelbarrows, 300 shovels, 300 brooms, 300 pairs of hand gloves, and several standing brushes to support the group’s tireless efforts in advancing sanitation initiatives across the country.
He praised the BuzStopBoys for their dedication to keeping communities clean, describing them as an inspiration that must be emulated nationwide.
“The National Sanitation Day is more than just an event; it is a renewed call to action for every Ghanaian to take ownership of our environment,” the president stated. “Let us all commit to maintaining clean communities, not just on designated days, but every day.”
Mr. Mahama further urged Ghanaians to “build on this momentum” and actively participate in sanitation activities to ensure healthier and safer surroundings.
The National Sanitation Day, introduced during his administration, is aimed at encouraging citizen involvement in tackling poor sanitation challenges across Ghana.
